FUNDS TO ANY INDIVIDUAL. Chances are if they ask you to wire money, they
are a scammer.

COMMON SCAM
We have
received several complaints recently of one very popular scam happening here
on wtvyhometownclassifieds.com. Here's how it goes:
-You receive an
email asking questions about your item and asking for pictures.
-You receive an offer from the sender to buy your item sight unseen.
-The sender offers to send you a check for more than the agreed amount and
arrange shipping for your item. Often they will send you a package complete
with tracking numbers.
-Once you are in receipt of the check, you are to cash it and wire the
remainder of the funds back to them.
-What they don't tell you is that the check WILL bounce and you WILL be held
responsible for the amount of the check. They will have gotten away with
the money you wired them!
-If you are sent a tracking number by the other party, REFUSE THE PACKAGE
WHEN IT ARRIVES. Send the package back with the courier.
If you follow
these simple steps you will more than likely be able to save yourself from
being the victim of a scam attempt.
